EA Markets Dead Space 2 Through Your Mom

An interesting video showed up this weekend on Youtube. Apparently, EA is banking on you liking Dead Space 2 because… your mom is going to hate it? In this collection of videos, the publisher gathered up a large group of mothers under the guise of doing market research. What they didn’t tell the unsuspecting moms was that they were about to be blindsided by some of the most disturbing and violent parts of the upcoming Dead Space sequel while their reactions were recorded by hidden cameras. In a world of Kevin Butlers, MLB pitchers using homophobic slurs and large production cinematic promos, can you blame EA for trying to push the envelope in order to get your attention?

    Saw these ads on tv tonight. It’s kinda brilliant. Can’t believe we haven’t seen something like this before.
